Another Self (Zeytin Agaci) Cast and Story – Another Self Turkish Series plot

A New Series “Another Self” is on Netflix. Zeytin Ağaci is the New Romantic Turkish series that was released on 28 July 2022. This series is written by Nuran Evren and Directed By Burcu Alptekin. This show with 8 episodes is available on Netflix in addition to the original Turkish language, this series is also available in English dub. Cast: Tuba Büyüküstün, Seda Bakan, Murat Boz, Boncuk Yılmaz.

STORY:

Ada, Sevgi, and Leyla are three best friends. Ada (Tuba Büyüküstün) is a successful doctor, and her friend Sevgi(Seda Bakan) is a lawyer but she is a cancer patient. Ada learns about Sevgi’s serious condition which makes her sad also she admits Sevgi to the hospital for experimental surgery but Sevgi has other plans. Sevgi comes to know about a guru who is curing sickness without any operation. Sevgi wanted to give it a try so she decided to travel to Ayvalik she calls to her friend Leyla, who is a mother and also an influencer.

When Sevgi and Leyla were about to Leave Ada stops her from traveling anywhere but Sevgi convinces Ada to go along and the 3 friends leave for Ayvalik.

Ayvalik is a small town near the Aegean region Here Aaliya tells her problem to Zaman, and Zaman tells her that they don’t treat patients as their Doctors, rather they work on the spiritual roots of illness, so if we can reach the source we could begin to heal, But they can’t guarantee it will happen all the time. Sevgi agrees to the treatment. she goes through a lot of transformation, her journey of spiritual enlightenment, understanding and being with her present, and facing the evil of her past.

Here It is revealed here that all three friends have their dark past which they have not forgotten yet and that is why the trouble is still in them all. First, Leyla is a mother who continues her marriage despite knowing that her husband is cheating on her. Later her husband lost all his money due to unlawful activities. Ada always despised men who betrayed their comrades and now that she was in the same situation because she got to know that her husband had an affair. With this treatment, Sevgi’s condition starts to improve a little and after coming here, she starts living here with her mother in a house. One day she invites Ada and Leyla to her new home and further convinces them to meet Zaman at once. Being a doctor, Ada doesn’t trust Zaman’s method of treatment. But here she meets her ex-boyfriend Toprak, she thought Toprak might be living in America, but here she is surprised to see him. What will happen next??

My Review:

Another Self is not for everyone, as it has adult scenes and talks. And the storyline of this series progresses very slowly but that does not mean at all that this series will be boring. The story of Another Self is very interesting and engaging and the chemistry between the three leads is what makes this show compelling.
